Patch 5 included on disc. The patch installs to your system automatically if you have enough free space. If you do not have enough free space and have not installed the update at any point in the past, it will give you the option to play without it. It is unknown what Java version the Wii U version is equivalent to, however Patch 5 released on May 18, 2016.

This disc includes the 9th iteration of the tutorial world if you install the included update, or the 8th iteration if you play without the update. Note that due to the way the Wii U works, you cannot revert back to previous updates once you install a newer one unless you factory reset the system.

The game is playable either solo or with up to 4 players in split screen, however split screen is only accessible if you disable the Gamepad view.
